74) Tuesday 11th Feb : Manas had good sleep, finished all his activtives by 10.30 pm as he has to be empty stomach for 4 hours before LP is done. Went to hospital, his CBC showed good and his LP & Chemo was planned. Dr Shobha asked to ensure his weight does not increase and maintain in the 58-60kg range bcoz if it increases then chemo medicines doesn’t spread and also with his mobility better to maintain weight. His LP was done quickly, he vomited couple of times but he was much better than last time. Could finish all clearances by 8.30 pm and then came home. He was still feeling nauseating but around 10.30 pm he felt better and then had dinner and went to sleep.

Today he could walk a few steps without anybody help which was a good progress in making him independent.

80) Monday 17th Feb : Manas had good sleep and ate well, today last day of GCSF injection, overall he looked fine and hopefully his key parameters should be fine for the last Chemo of Jan that is scheduled for tomorrow. He did the Physio exrecises and walked a few steps.

Went for his last chemo for January, showed to Dr Shobha, she asked us to see Dr Pratibha dermatologist for both the infection as well as his stretch marks on back, she suspected low platelet counts. We gave his blood for CBC Stat and went to meet Dr Pratibha. She saw his hands and suspected a fungal infection and after speaking to Dr Shobha prescribed antibiotic and a biotic medicine. She saw the stretch marks and said they will remain and we leave them as is. The CBC stat came and his hameglobin was 8 and platelets 40K. We decided to transfuse blood as we see a pattern of those dropping and then come on Friday for the chemo. His transfusion was done by 5.30 pm and then we came home. Manas wanted to walk on his own and not take the wheelchair hence he went using the walker. Mami was not feeling well hence Mama stayed back home. At hospital Manas walked to the doctors cabin using my help and Dr Shonha was very happy to see him walking. His CBC Stat was taken and we were hoping for it to be normal as he was feeling fine. Unfortunately his WBC count was low 1.7 hence again the chemo was postponed to Monday. GCSF injection was given and again asked to give for 3 more days. Dr Shobha said this happens and not to worry. We came back home. Evening I did the physio stretches with him. Mami had slight viral fever hence showed to doctor and she moved to Mani house.

85) Saturday 22nd Feb : Manas had good sleep, complained of slight headache, this could be due to being dehydrated as he had passed urine twice and had not drunk enough water. Showed his hand to Dr Pratibha as well and she asked to continue to apply the T-Bact cream. We met a young guy who works in the hospital who is doing his engineering but also works there and is a cancer survivor, he underwent Bone marrow transplant and his mother was the donor, nice to see positive and strong survivors around us.
